This field book contains paleontological and geological field notes taken in Nevada and Utah from 27 August to 12 September 1965. Cooper describes stratigraphy of sites visited and notes the fossils found at various levels. Mollusks, brachiopoda genera hesperonomia, orthambonites, syntrophopsis, cnidaria genera lichenaria and eofletcheria, and other fossil specimens were collected. Rensselandia beds are described. Localities include Fossil Mountain in Utah and Alhambra Hills, Lone Mountains, Ikes canyon, Antelope valley, Pahute Ridge (currently Paiute Ridge) on Papose Lake in Nevada, and other localities.
