Lang: French Refr: G&M 313; Eimas 1074 Titl: The atlas is entitled 'Planches pour oeuvres de Vicq-d'Azyr' Note: Vicq d'Azyr has been called the greatest comparative anatomist of the 18th century. This posthumous six volumes and atlas is the only collected edition of his works. Volumes 1-3 contain biographies of naturalists, chemists and physicians; volumes 4-5 the works on comparative anatomy, and volume 6 includes the second edition of Vicq-d'Azyr's famous 'Traite d'anatomie' dealing with neuroanatomy. The atlas contains 39 plates almost wholly devoted to neuroanatomy.
