Illustrations: One double-page and 35 full-page hand-colored lithographs by J. and E. Gould, printed by C. Hullmandel. Each plate accompanied by guard sheet and leaf of letterpress.

Plates preceded by title page, dedication leaf for Reverend Joseph Goodall, list of subscribers (3 unnumbered leaves in total); and Preface (pages [i]-ii), Introduction (pages [iii]-vii), "Synopsis specierum" ([i] page on 1 leaf) and the list of plates ([i] page on 1 leaf).
