The hydrographic sheet no. 1403 documents collecting of sea bottom specimens from the eastern end of Santa Barbara Channel in California, 1878-1879. E. H. C. Luetzé, U.S.N., was commanding the party. The table of data includes section number, locality, fathoms, and appearance. At the bottom is a note about location of specimens.
