Notes
This field book contains narrative notes documenting Goldman's daily field work and travels through California and Mexico. Specimen numbers are 1-32 and 37-49 for skulls. Notes discuss collecting mostly mammals such as chipmunks, kangaroo rats, squirrels, raccoon, deer, and other animals. Occasionally reptiles and birds are mentioned, especially in regard to the collecting activities of Goldman's colleague Edward Nelson. Locations include Poso, San Emigdio Canyon, and "Templor Ranch" (probably Tembler Ranch in Kern County), in California, and Manzanillo, Zapotlan (Ciudad Guzmn), Ahualuleo, and San Luis Potosi in Mexico. Other locations are included. Some of Goldman's notes are written in Spanish.
