Notes

These 30 photographs by David B. Reger, West Virginia, depict Regers and colleague Paul H. Price conducting geological and paleontological field research for the US Geological Survey. Photos are undated. It is estimated they were taken some time between 1910 and 1950, although they were most likely taken between 1910 and 1935. These estimated dates are based on publication dates of the writings of Reger and Price about research in West Virginia and life span of Reger. Locations depicted in the photographs include but are not limited to Lee Bell, Valley Head (Randolph County), Minnehaha Springs (Pocahontas County), and Hambleton (Tucker County).
