This field book documents Nelson's field research in various parts of Mexico in December 1902. This journal contains notes mostly on the vegetation of areas Nelson visit. Many plant species are referred to by taxonomic as well as common name. Locations include Torreon, Fresnillo, and other Mexico locations. Following many blank pages, Nelson includes notes on birds and bird calls.
