These original photographs and sketch mounted on board and with captions pertain to Stejneger's extensive study of the fur seals of the North Pacific-Bering Sea area. The photographs and sketch show Karabelnoye Rookery and Palata Rookery (Glinka), on Copper Island (officially Ostrov Mednyy). Some or all of these images may be published. Many of the photographs are dated August 1895.
