This folder contains tables and photocopies of data sheets reporting results from the Smithsonian Oceanographic Sorting Center (SOSC) of stomach content analysis for Pacific Oceanographic Biological Survey Program (POBSP) 13, SOSC ref. no. 327. One typewritten table and a supplementary table list field number, species, [capture] date, and [capture] location of bird specimens sent to the SOSC. The tables list individuals collected from the Pacific Ocean, islands in Hawaii, Swains Island in the Samoan Islands, islands in the Phoenix Islands [Phoenix Group], Sand Island in the Johnston Atoll, Howland Island, Baker Island, and other Pacific Ocean islands and atolls. Specimens were collected from September 14, 1964 through October 29, 1966. The tables list many more field numbers/station numbers than are represented by the data sheets in the folder. Each data sheet records the stomach contents of an individual bird. Data sheets (5 total) were completed from March 14 through April 24, 1967 by Neville Estwick. Fields include sta. no., species, SOSC ref. no., POBSP. no., lat. & long., date, time caught, squid, squid beaks, fish, fish remains, parasitic animals, Crustacea, other animals, [notes on] parasitic animals, notes on squid, notes on fish, and general notes. Also included are two items of correspondence pertaining to some of the specimens, field numbers/station numbers, and data sheets.
