Notes

This folder contains a variety of graphs and other documents related to bathythermograph [BT] and bird count data collected on the Pacific Ocean between 1963 and 1966. Many of the graphs do not provide identifying locality or cruise information. One set of graphs appears to plot bathythermograph data collected in November 1966 and January to March 1967, providing isotherm depth for different temperatures across [BT] slide numbers and over time. Another set of graphs is a compilation of surface temperature, temperature at 150m depth, and bird count data by latitude. Another set of graphs compiles bird count data by latitude for months between May 1965 and December 1966. The folder includes additional graphs and two maps lacking identifying information. Several pages of tables in the folder compile bird count data collected on SIC 1-17 between March 1963 and January [1967]. A letter from Warren King provides some information on interpretation of data from SIC 1-16. A two-page carbon copy, "Bathythermograph observations," provides information related to BT data collection and provides some summary BT information for a cruise [not identified]. Also included is a copy of the publication "Oceanography of the east central equatorial Pacific as observed during expedition Eastropic," by Thomas S. Austin, 1960.
