Notes

Correspondence from Catherine Akerly Cock Mitchill to John Torrey, dated July 2, 1834, following up on Torrey's apparent suggestion that Mitchill donate her late husband Samuel Latham Mitchill's collection of minerals to the College at Princeton. She thinks it's a very good idea, and wants Torrey's specific opinion on one large specimen she'd previously intended for her daughter but that she now thinks might also go to Princeton.
