The sheets primarily document the field work of Horton H. Hobbs during 1950 - 1952. The sheets list information in the following fields: cat. no. (e.g. 4-2251-7); county and state; locality; water (description), flow, width, depth, pH, temp., bottom, vegetation; shore; and general notes. Also includes a typed itinerary for travel November 9 to 10 containing lists of intersections, towns, and landmarks. Locations include Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and Virginia. There is a separate collection of data sheets from the Ichthyological collection at the University of Alabama for accession number 206 to 263. These sheets list data in the following fields: survey (state); drainage system; locality; county; state; water, current, width, depth, vegetation; shore; weather; temperature (air and water); additional ecological notes; method of capture; distance from shore; date; time; collected by (B. Cooper, H. Boschung, G. Hollis, A, Hemphill); original preservation; and species collected. There are additional numerical identifiers listed at the top that appear to have been added later (6-1452-8 to 8-1752-2). Includes a handwritten sheet of route description for travel headed with date September 9, 1946 for H. Hobbs and N. Blount.
