This is a set of three scrolls. Each scroll is approximately 28 cm. wide. Scroll no. 1 is 806 cm. long; Scroll no. 2 is 1091 cm. long; Scroll no.3 is 847 cm. long.

Each scroll contains paintings of birds. Scroll no. 1 has 18 paintings. Scroll no. 2 has paintings of 22 birds. Scroll no. 3 has paintings of 24 birds. All paintings are exquisitely done with fine brushwork.

Kokusho Sōmokuroku lists two models of scrolls of paintings with the title, " Sho Chō Shaseijo" and dated respectively 1776 and 1736-1743. This title is similar to BYU's title.
