The volume documents field work of E. O. Ulrich in the Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas, July 19 - August 31, 1906. The volume begins with an itinerary for travel during August 13 - 24, 1906. Entries are comprised of pasted inserts. These are sometimes dated and headed with location. They contain narrative description of travel details and work completed, description of geological characteristics, elevations with notes, as well as numbered localities.
