The field book documents Devra Kleiman's work with gorillas in Rwanda, October 4-14, 1992. Entries are dated and list details about travel enroute, meetings with colleagues, briefings at embassy, daily activities, colleagues with whom worked, details about and observations of country and people, weather, local wildlife issues, lists of fauna observed, observations of gorilla behavior and affect on environment, personal impressions, travel details (time of day, accommodations, challenges). Locations include but not limited to Ruhengeri as well as the vicinity of Akagera, Lake Birengeru [sic] and Lake Ihema [Lac Ihema]. In the back are notes on photographs taken, listed per roll. Includes loose inserts (stickers, business cards).
