This folder consists of the itinerary, documents, and data of Leonard P. Schultz during his work for Operation Crossroads in the Marshall Islands, 1946. The itinerary is typed and entries are ordered chronologically, with sections for location. Station numbers are included. Entries list date, station number, locality information, and description (diving depth, pool, etc.), and collector names (Brock, Schultz, Herald, Marr, and possibly others). Locations include: North Pacific Ocean, Bikini Atoll, Eniwetok [Enewetak] Atoll, Rongelap Atoll, Rongerik Atoll, Kwajalein Atoll. Also includes a typed copy. A handwritten chart of data, indicating distribution of species from collections made in the northern Marshall and Mariana Islands, is also included in the folder. Fields include scientific name, locations, and number of stations collected at. Other typed data charts are also included, with data on physical characteristics of fish (depth of body, length of head, scales, etc.), counts, and possibly other data. Correspondence, a typed report on shark safety, and a folded image of the USS Bowditch can also be found.
