The black and white photographs document terrain of Leeward Islands, December 1912. Photographs have captions on the reverse side, listing combination of description, photographer, and negative number. Subject matter includes Necker Island (possibly by W. F. Frear), La Perouse Pinnacle [French Frigate Shoals], structures on Midway Island, vessel Thetis, possibly C. S. Cochran (commanding officer of Thetis 1910 -1913).
