The 25 black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Enderbury Island, from July 11 and 12, 1968. The photographs show Frigatebirds in flight, Lesser Frigatebird colonies on Messerschmidia and in Cordia groves, Great Frigatebirds on nests (young, female, with egg), inland island terrain with guano mounds, views of beach and lagoon from guano mounds, Black Noddy roosting area in dead Cordia, views of Cordia groves, Red-footed Boobies nesting in Cordia groves, near-fledging Red-footed Booby in Cordia grove, inland ponds near guano mound, Sooty Tern colony near rubble pits, Blue-faced Booby nest with one runt and one normal egg, guano pit, ruins of guano era buildings, unidentified plant as ground cover near guano mounds, a Gray-backed Tern colony, primary nesting site of Red-tailed Tropicbirds, and Black Noddy nests in Cordia grove. The images have captions on the reverse side that list location, date, photographer (R. B. Clapp), description (some with direction or specific location detail), negative numbers (128A, 129A, 131A, 133A, 134A, 136A, 137A, 139A, 142A, 144A, 148A, 151A, 153A-155A, 164A, 184A, 196A, 199A, 209A, 213A, 216A, 219A, 221A, 228A), and unknown identifiers (e.g. E14A).
