The notes document Edgar Alexander Mearns' field work during the Mexican Boundary Survey, 1899. Pages are numbered. Loose notes include descriptions of mammals collected, flora observed (Montrejean), physical features and mammals of Cadillac. They are headed with location and date, and organized with type. These are numbered and detail type of specimens collected, and include varying information, a combination of habitat, abundance, diet, and behavior.
