Smithsonian Field Book Collection

The Smithsonian Field Book Collection in the Biodiversity Heritage Library holds content from the Smithsonian Field Book Project, a collaborative initiative to increase accessibility to field book content that documents natural history. Through partnerships within and beyond the Smithsonian Institution, the project is making field books easier to find and available in a digital format for researchers, as well as inspiring new ways of utilizing these rich information resources. All of the field books in this collection may also be found on the Smithsonian's Collection Search Center, and many can be found in the Smithsonian's Transcription Center.
