Notes
Description based on cover page and author supplied metadata.
Provides a comprehensive list of priority species that are closely tied to sagebrush vegetation types, or, in the case of aquatic species, are highly dependent on watersheds in sagebrush vegetation types in the western United States. In this document, the author considers sagebrush ecosystems to be all Artemisia types in the West, with the exception of coastal sage scrub and sand sage in the Great Plains. Based on the Federal Geographic Data Committee Vegetation Standards, the sagebrush types are classified in the following formations: microphyllus evergreen shrubland, temperate cold-deciduous shrubland and dwarf-shrubland.
