Limited ed. of 28 copies privately printed on large paper, each having 22 coloured plates of eggs reproduced directly from photographs.

Issued in 4 parts (pt. 1 on 28 Sept. 1921; pt. 2 on 3 Jan. 1922; pt. 3 on 16 Feb. 1922; and pt. 4 on 20 May 1922).

A revised ed. of Swann's Synoptical list of the Accipitres (1920).

"For this second edition I have had the advantage of consulting Mr. W. Sclater's MS. list of the Accipitres ..."--Preface to 2nd ed.

Swann also drew on Richard Bowdler Sharpe's Catalogue of the Accipitres in the collection of the British Museum (1874) and Gray's Genera of birds (1844-1849) in writing this synopsis, as stated in the preface.

Some entries are marked to indicate that Swann's own collection included specimens of those species.

"Identical with the regular second edition in 8vo of the same date ... except for the size of the paper and the inclusion of a half-title, the colored plates, and the leaf of explanation of the latter ..."--Zimmer.
