A new species of alderfly (Megaloptera: Sialidae) is described and figured from a rare adult specimen preserved in middle Eocene (Lutetian) Baltic amber. Sialis (Protosialis) voigti, new species, is distinguished from the two other species of Protosialis recorded from Baltic amber.
