Field journal kept by Howard Radclyffe Roberts during his involvement with a malaria survey in the Shiraz area of Iran in 1950. The journal is mostly narrative, describing survey trips to a number of villages which involved collecting mosquitos when present and malaria screenings of the residents by doctors and medical students. Roberts mentions spraying, and gives a brief description of a village after DDT spraying. Though focused on mosquitos, at the end of the journal Roberts does describe a quick trip to look for grasshoppers. The back cover of the journal is inscribed in Roberts's writing with the name Dr. Mario Giaquinto who worked for the World Health Organization.
