Rehn kept during a collecting trips between 1955-1961 that included sites in New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, California, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Rehn's collecting focused on entomology, but he was also likely to collecting interesting specimens for other departments at the Academy.
