The "Resumen historico del origen, y succession de los Incas, y demas soberanos del Perú", by Garcilaso de la Vega, found in the original, is omitted from this translation.

John Adams was not the translator of the English edition, but merely furnished the "Notes and observations" and "Account of the Brazils."
