Newspaper clipping of obituary taped to front pastedown.
Daily observations, letters, and thoughts during Richard's time as field assistant on the Whitney South Sea Expedition. The notes were transcribed from original material by Museum personnel. Richards and his team collected specimens from various islands in Polynesia including the Solomon islands, the Santa Cruz islands, and Papua New Guinea. After leaving WSSE in 1929, he pursued a career in journalism.
