Notes

Correspondence from H.H. Eaton to John Torrey, dated July 25, 1831, mainly discussing the routes and carriers of four plant shipments he has sent to Torrey, including many meant for Torrey to pass on to others. Eaton promises to collect and send more next season, and asks Torrey for his opinion specifically on the "Geum, Anemone lexingtoniensis, & the Tetrondrous & Tetradynamous plants" he suspects may be new species. Eaton died the following year at the age of 23.
