The notebook documents the field work of Russ Greenberg in Xalapa [Jalapa EnrÍquez], Mexico, during 1996. Entries contain lists of observation data. These are dated, headed with limited location information (e.g. type of habitat) and weather, followed with lists of bird and vegetation observation data. He lists identifiers, type of bird, characteristics, measurements, sex, and unidentified information. There notes at the end of the volume that appear to describe type of work completed.
