The volume documents the work of Judy Gradwohl at Barro Colorado Island [Panama] during September 12 - October 1, 1984. Entries are dated, headed with location. Some contain time of day with observations of birds (sex, location, type, behavior). Observations are recorded using abbreviations. There are sometime narrative descriptions, e.g. an observation of a snake in the habitat observed and a description of birds' reactions. There are also tables of data relating to netting, lists of netting locations, and lists of deep leaf samples.
