The photograph album documents work Alexander Wetmore conducted in Alaska (1911), Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands (1911-1912) gathering data on economic status and geographical distribution of birds and mammals for the United States Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Biological Survey. Images are arranged chronologically, captioned and sometimes dated.
