This field book contains observations of birds in various locations in Florida and on the Florida Keys from March to 11 April 1923. Other miscellaneous notes are also included. Birds Nelson sees frequently include blue and white heron, brown pelican, cormorants, egrats, duck, coots, gallinules, and snakebirds. Other birds may be included. Nelson's notes provide narrative descriptions of the locations where birds were observed. Locations include but are not limited to Clive Key, Sebastian River, Bay Island Reservation, Bird Island, Lake Okechobee, and Indian Key Bird Reserve.
