Notes
Field notes document the work of James Lynch in southern Mexico to study salamanders during October 11-23, 1981, and Yucatan to study distributional ecology of wintering migrants [birds], February 14 - March 5, 1982. The loose sheets are headed with route, date, followed by narrative style entries describing travel details, purpose of travel, work completed, hand drawn maps relating to field work, habitat and vegetation (common name). Collecting information includes locality with elevation as well as type (scientific name) and quantity of specimens, sometimes identifier (e.g. SI81-18). The trip to Yucatan includes many of the same details along with descriptions of numbered vegetation plots. Also includes photocopies of maps and specimen catalogue.
