Notes

Field notes document the work of James Lynch in northeast Mexico and Yucatan peninsula, August 16 - October 11, 1979. The entries are listed on loose sheets of paper and also contain portions of other notes. The primary group of notes is dated, and begins with a list of birds seen in Mexico, followed with narrative style entries. These entries describe two separate trips. The first is headed with purpose of work "trip to northwestern Mexico for salamanders," and describes travel details, routes traveled, work completed with time of day, work with colleagues, weather, observations of habitat and wildlife (including birds and amphibians), as well as type and quantity of specimens. Also includes drawings of Pseudoeurycea with extensive annotations and a catalogue. Locations are often referred to by ranch name. The second section describing a trip to Yucatan and Veracruz (September 17 - October 11) contain similar details as well as drawings of habitat, and a list of reef fishes observed in Veracruz. Locations include Chichén Itzá.
