Correspondence from Horace Mann to John Torrey, dated May 10, 1866, discussing an exchange they had previously discussed of Mann's Hawaiian plants for Torrey's Texan and New Mexican ones; Mann would like to go ahead with the exchange, if Torrey is still amenable. He mentions that he is still engaged with the Hawaiian plants, and preparing a publication on them. The second document in the collection is a copy of Mann's obituary, reprinted from the Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, volume 3, June 8, 1869.
