This volume is a catalog of bird specimens collected on the Pacific Ocean from July to August 1966. Fields include field number, species, sex, date, location, reproduction, wt., fat con., reproduction, remarks, preparation type (skin, skeleton, wing, or alcohol), and catalog number. Field numbers span from 2259 to 2417. Species include Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus], Puffinus pacificus, Phaethon rubricauda, Oceanodroma leucorhoa, Fregata ariel, and others. Collections were made in an area of the Pacific Ocean bounded approximately by 11∞ S to 18∞ N and 160∞ to 178∞ W, including off Baker Island and off Jarvis Island. The remarks field includes information such as band numbers and indications that color and molt notes were taken. Collections were made by Huber, Bulmer, Balcomb, Hoff, D. Pearson, and Chandler.
