The diary documents work completed by Edward Preble with Charles Robert Cross to British Columbia, in July - November of 1913. Entries are dated, and sometimes are headed with location. The notebook contains descriptions and short histories of communities; distances traveled; observations on flora and fauna; physical surroundings; and Indian words for fauna. At the end of some entries are lists of observed plants and wildlife seen and collected. Includes hand drawn maps. Locations include the vicinity of Prince Rupert, Hazelton, Babine Range and Skeena River.
