The 8 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in New Mexico, c. 1903 - 1907. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, type of plants, and sometimes elevation.
