This item is a volume of miscellaneous. mostly undated notes including some notes that are possibly duplicated from other journals of Mearns. This volume includes the following notes: index, possibly to journals from Mearns Arizona trip from 1884-1888; some journal entries from October and December 1884 and July 1886 (some entries have been marked "this page worked up in ms [manuscript]"); table of measurements of Mammals collected on a trip to Flagstaff and the Natural Bridge, Arizona, no date; rough draft of fragments of a manuscript regarding Arizona mammals; table of measurements of two species of hares from Arizona and New Mexico; copy of an agreement between Mearns and Dr. Merriam, stating that Mearns would send specimens of mammals to Merriam (February 8, 1886). Some localities in this volume include Fort Verde, Natural Bridge (it is unclear which Arizona natural bridge), and Flagstaff in Arizona and New Mexico. Also includes a sketch on the cover verso of a fish with some description.
