Correspondence fragment from Charles B. Plowright, dated May 23, 1886. Two pages containing the text of Plowright's review of the first volume of John Stevenson's "Hymenomycetes Britannici," which appeared in the Bulletin of the Torrey Botanical Club, volume 13, no. 7, July 1886. Plowright also quotes a passage of Stevenson's work relating to the Agaricus salicinus, which is not included in his published review. Elizabeth Britton was the editor of volume 13 of the Bulletin.
