Notes

Field notes Vol. 171-175 are housed together in one box. They document New York Botanical Garden expeditions to Haiti in 1903, Florida in 1904, and the Bahamas in 1904, 1905, and 1907 by Elizabeth Gertrude Knight Britton, Nathaniel Lord Britton, and associates.

Field notes Vol. 171 documents Elizabeth Gertrude Knight Britton's botanical collecting in the Bahamas in 1907 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition. It is comprised of a list of specimen numbers 6371-6655, collected February-March, 1907 in New Providence and Eleuthera. The notebook includes dates and locations, and entries have very brief descriptive information on the plant and/or habitat. Most entries do not have the full plant name. At the end of the notebook are several pages of miscellaneous notes, names and addresses, and the draft of a letter.
