Notes

Field notes Vol. 42 documents Stewardson Brown and William H. Harris' botanical collecting in Jamaica in 1910. Brown's specimen numbers are 1-792 and are dated Feb.-May 1910. The entries consist of genus and species and locations including Mandeville, Kingston, and Montego Bay. Numbers 593-792 indicate that they were collected by Joseph Crawford. Harris' specimen numbers are 5000-12909, and have no dates or locations, only the plant name. A note on page 90 says "First number sent from Jamaica under cooperative arrangement with Mr. Fawcett [William Fawcett, 1851-1926] was 8489."
