Notes
The 7 black-and-white photographs document field work completed on Howland Island between January and February 1967. Six photographs taken by R. Chandler in February show a double clutch of Sooty Tern eggs, Sooty Tern colonies with birds in flight, and an up close view of vegetation (Tribulus). One photograph taken by Frank Smith in January shows R. Fleet at campsite with supplies. The images have captions on the reverse side that list location, date, description, photographer, and negative numbers (337, 341, 345, 347, 349, 351, 990).
