The leaves of plates are numbered according to the order of the insects depicted. Some of the plate numbers were omitted by the publisher. According to Nissen, the complete set of plates are as follows: Coléoptères: 1, 1b-e, 2, 2b, 3, 3b-d, 4, 4b, 5-6, 6 b, 7-9, 11, 15, 30, 30b, 31, 32, 34-38; Hémiptères: 1, 2, 5, 5b, 6-12, 19-20, "20" [different from the other plate numbered as 20]; Orthoptères: 1, 1b, 2, 2c, 3-5, 8 [actually, 7], 12-14; Neuroptères: 1-3, 7; Lépidoptères: 1, 1b, 2, 2b-c, 3-6, "6" [different from the other plate numbered as 6], 7, 20-24; Hymènoptères: 1-3, 7-10; Diptères: 1-3; Aptères: 1, 3-6.
