"[Specimens] come from the Solomon Islands, the Fiji group, and (two species) from Carmen Island in the Gulf of California ... A fifth (Oriental) species from Samoa seems to represent the first known occurrence in Oceania."

New species classifed as Fagasa cassandrae, Gobius raveni, Hemieleotris carmenensis, and Microgobius cinctus; specimen from Samoa identified as Ptereleotris evides.
