"I ... recognize a new race of the spiny pocket mouse of the Heteromys desmarestianus group from the central highlands, a new race of Macrogeomys heterodes from the Reventazon River Valley region, a new race of Macrogeomys cavator from the Caribbean watershed and a new race of the small white-crowned Macrogeomys cherriei from north central Costa Rica on the San Carlos River watershed."
