Chapin in 1926 at Beni (Bungulu), eastern Belgian Congo, during the Ruwenzori-Kivu Expedition; specimens of Tatera nyassae loveridgei and Mastomys collected by Arthur Loveridge in Tanzania, at Kilosa (1920), and Gwaos, near Itigi (1921), respectively.
