Manuscript fragment on vellum.
Latin.
Title from bookseller's description; place and date of production assumed to be late 9th century in Northern France or Southern Netherlands.
Contains numbered capitula starting from XVII on recto and ending with XXXVI on verso. While not identical, the chapter titles closely follow those found in the Herbarium Apulei, compiled by Pseudo-Apuleius (also known as "De virtutibus herbarum".) The final easily-legible chapter on the bifolium is entitled, "Erbe femiculum."
Written in Carolingian minuscule hand with Rustic capitals in dark brown ink.
Text is in double columns of 36 lines, blind-ruled. Later numbering of lines every fifth line in dark ink.
Bifolium lacking one column of one leaf. Fragment was recovered from use as a pastedown in a binding.
