A chronological list of 409 titles of books, and a classified catalogue (with separate t.-p.) of about 13,000 objects connected with the use of tobacco ("an ethnographic collection ... pipes, snuff mills and snuff rasps ... snuff bottles", fire strikers, tinder boxes, etc.; sold in 1882 for [pounds] 4000)

An earlier list, of 169 titles, was issued in 1874: Bibliotheca nicotiana: a first catalogue of books about tobacco.

Contains The pipes of all peoples (8 p.) reprinted from the Birmingham daily post, Dec. 16, 1870, by "Este".
