G.B. Sowerby took over the project after Reeve's death, beginning with the monograph of the genus Pyramidella (in v. 15). See BM (Nat. hist.) online catalog record for this ed., and the prefatory letter by Reeve's widow inserted at the front of v. 20, for details. Sowerby was also the illustrator and, in some cases, the lithographer, for this publication.

The individual monographs which make up this set have special half-titles.

Each plate is accompanied by a leaf of letterpress description giving the month and year of issue.

Printers of the text include John Edward Taylor; Savill, Edwards and Co.; and Spottiswoode and Co. Printers of the plates include Vincent Brooks; Frederic Reeve; Reeve & Nichols; Reeve, Benham & Reeve; and Vincent Brooks Day & Son.
